Sometimes the simplest things can be the most beautiful. I absolutely love this basic cap I just finished. The colors are soft and warm, yet wintry, and the texture is like velvet. Wool, silk, alpaca, angora, camel, and mohair make up this dreamy yarn, and it was a joy to knit! Available now in my Etsy shop. [All images Copyright Christopher Smith Arts LLC]

New in my Etsy shop! I recently finished this soft and cozy little cowl, based on the ‘Leif’ pattern by Dianna Walla. I love these colors so much!
New at my Etsy shop, this wrap and scarf in my ‘Salal’ design. A little lacy, and a little leafy, this was inspired by the native Salal plants that grow everywhere here in the Pacific Northwest. I had a lot of fun designing, knitting, and photographing these pieces! (All images Copyright Christopher Knits)
This scarf is so pretty! And easy, and fun, and light — perfect for a spring birthday gift, or Mother’s Day. I made up this simple pattern to show off the beautiful colors in the Schoppel ‘Edition 3’ superwash merino yarn, with just a little bit of airiness to keep it perfect for the transitional season. Available now at my Etsy.com shop, Christopher Knits.
I recently finished knitting this wonderful cardigan in 100% American-grown and produced wool. It is soft, warm, and comfortable. I’m especially happy with the fit that I achieved, through some subtle design changes to a standard pattern. If you are interested in a custom-designed garment for yourself or as a special gift, please visit my Etsy shop to send an inquiry. I’d love to hear from you and answer any questions!
