I recently finished knitting this wonderful cardigan in 100% American-grown and produced wool. It is soft, warm, and comfortable. I’m especially happy with the fit that I achieved, through some subtle design changes to a standard pattern. If you are interested in a custom-designed garment for yourself or as a special gift, please visit my Etsy shop to send an inquiry. I’d love to hear from you and answer any questions!

I had so much fun knitting this scarf in a traditional stitch called ‘Seafoam Stitch.’ I used a silk/wool blend yarn by Noro, and the colors are gorgeous. This design can easily be made in any color or type of yarn! Inquire about a custom order at my Etsy shop anytime.
Here’s another new piece I just finished, my ‘Fern’ shawl/wrap in hand-painted silk and seacell (a fiber derived from seaweed.) This is a one-of-a-kind item of my own design. The finished shape reminded me of the gently curving tips of new fern shoots, and the colors are right out of the springtime woodlands. It’s luxuriously soft, too! Find it here.
I love the local wool yarns I used in this knit shawl as much for their subtle beauty as for the beautiful way in which they were made. Humanely and sustainably grown on micro-farms, milled, spun, and organically dyed all right here in western Washington State by Insouciant Fibers, Local Color Fiber Studio, and Abundant Earth Fiber, these are 100% natural. I even travel on foot (and public transportation) to shop at my local yarn shops. 🙂 This could be the brighter future of clothing, if we can learn to buy less, choose better, and shop small.
